The Daily Dot claims that they have found the best car ad in the history of car ads on Craigslist, and we can’t help but agree.
Nate Walsh tried to sell his 1999 Toyota Camry on Craigslist for $1,5000 in St. Louis, but they won’t seem to let him. Walsh put together an amazingly outrageous listing, which even gained attention from outlets such as AdWeek, but Craigslist removed the listing, for reasons which Walsh (and ourselves) can’t really seem to understand.
Ok, so the listing is a little extreme. It lists pictures of some of his ex-girlfriends and their experiences with the car. The features listed make the car sound a little less than desirable. We think the advertisement is clever and pretty hilarious, and we want to know if you think the same. Share your thoughts about this ad on our Facebook page, and for a free auto insurance quote, visit www.safeauto.com.

After getting multiple auto insurance quotes each in the thousands of dollars range, you see a quote for just a few hundred and you think to yourself, “ding ding ding. We have a winner!” Well, hold on just a minute, before you click the “buy” button; consider whether this may be a fake car insurance scam.
According to the NASDAQ website, “An insurance card can be faked, either on paper or electronically. Many folks try it. But you can’t outrun the Internet. States are rapidly adopting real-time electronic verification systems that check for a current policy in seconds.”
So, how do you know if you’ve been given a quote for a fake company? If you receive a price that’s dramatically lower than the rest, especially from a company you’ve never heard of, that should warrant a little checking. Or, you can just visit www.safeauto.com, to get a quote for one of our state minimum auto insurance policies from a company you can trust.

Are you headed on a road trip this Memorial Day? If so, you’re not the only one. According to an article on BusinessWeek.com, AAA predicts that Memorial Day road trips will reach an eight-year high this year.
“Approximately 31.2 million Americans plan to drive to their destinations, up from 31.1 million who drove last year, according to Heathrow, Florida-based AAA, the biggest U.S. motoring organization.”
This means that a lot of cars will be packed with summer essentials as family and friends make the trek to their final destination. Many music playlists will be created for the road trip and drivers will be searching for the most affordable gas along the drive.
Memorial Day marks the beginning of summer and also the beginning of summer road trip season. If you have a great Memorial Day road trip planned, we want to hear about it. Joint the discussion using the hashtag #SAroadtrip and follow SafeAuto on Twitter.
