Be sure to tune into the Speed Channel tomorrow, April 2, to root Stacy Compton to victory at the Nashville Superspeedway. Stacy will be driving the No. 60 SafeAuto Chevrolet Silverado after Narain Karthikeyan became the first ever Indian-born driver to compete in a NASCAR Series driving the 60 truck last weekend. Karthikeyan debuted in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series on March 27 in the Kroger 250 at Martinsville (Virginia, USA) Speedway. Karthikeyan finished in 13th place after starting in the 11th spot.
According to NASCAR.com, Nashville Superspeedway, built in 2000, is one of only three concrete tracks on the NASCAR circuit. The racetrack stretches 1.333 miles in length. The first Nationwide Series race was held at the track in April 2001 with Greg Biffle winning, and later that year the Truck Series made its debut at the 1.333 mile track when Scott Riggs won in August.
