Red means stop, yellow means slow and green means go, go, go! But, what about for a person that is colorblind? After centuries of having the standard round traffic light, a new sexier design has been brought to attention and creates a new spin on the old-fashioned traffic light.
A design team made up of Ji-youn Kim, Soon-young Yang and Hwan-ju Jeon has designed a new traffic light that is more politically correct because this new traffic light makes it possible for those that are colorblind to recognize what action to take. How? The new design consists of shapes corresponding with the different color lights:
· Red – triangle
· Yellow – circle
· Green – rectangle
