As if driving on the open road wasn’t already a dicey enough proposition, add sleeping drivers to the list of potentially lethal obstacles you are likely to encounter. According to the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, 41% of drivers admitted to having fell asleep while driving, with a full 10% of all drivers having done so in the past year!
So while we’ve always had to lookout for drunk drivers, phone users, food eaters, and plain old terrible drivers in general, zombies behind the wheel has gone from fiction to fact.
Remember to Play It Safe out there and understand that no amount of 5 Hour Energy in your system can make up for the ultimate way to keep you awake while driving; get plenty of sleep the night before.
