By agreeing to sign-up for Safe Auto Insurance Company’s (“SafeAuto”) text messaging program, you are voluntarily and expressly consenting to receive recurring informational text messages from or on behalf of SafeAuto. You understand that you may opt-out of SafeAuto’s text messaging program at any time and you are not required to opt-in as a condition of purchasing insurance with SafeAuto.
In signing up for SafeAuto’s text messaging program, you are agreeing to receive informational text messages, made by autodialers, at the telephone number you have provided. SafeAuto’s text messages are intended to provide you with information regarding the status of your policy including, but not limited to, payment reminders and claims updates. The short code for these informational, non-marketing text messages is 46382.
In order to receive SafeAuto text messages, a mobile telephone number must be provided to SafeAuto. You represent that you are the account holder for the mobile telephone number. You agree to immediately contact SafeAuto at 1-800-SAFEAUTO (800-723-3288) if you change your mobile telephone number.
The number of text messages will vary depending on how many claims you have open at one time and how many policies you have, but will be limited to no more than five (5) messages a month.
SafeAuto does not warrant that the delivery of text messages. The delivery of the text messages may fail for a number of reasons, which are out of the control of SafeAuto. You understand and agree that SafeAuto does not have control over any cellular networks and is not responsible for any delays in sending or receiving messages. Further, SafeAuto is not responsible for problems arising from text messages that are sent to an inactive or out-of-date mobile telephone number.
Message and data rates may apply to each text message sent or received in connection with SafeAuto’s text messaging program. Please contact your mobile telephone carrier for rates that may apply, in addition to any applicable roaming charges. SafeAuto does not charge a fee for sending text messages.
You may opt-in to the messaging program by visiting this page, providing your cellular telephone number and policy number in the spaces provided, and agreeing to these terms and conditions. Once you agree to the terms and click Join, you will receive a text to the number you provided. Once you opt-in to receive text messages from SafeAuto, you will receive a text confirming your enrollment.
At any time, you may opt-out of receiving text messages from SafeAuto. To opt-out, text STOP to the short code (46382). You may also call 1-800-SAFEAUTO (800-723-3288) to opt-out of the text messaging program
As stated above, you represent that you are the account holder for the mobile telephone number. You agree to maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date information with SafeAuto and will immediately contact SafeAuto at 1-800-SAFEAUTO (800-723-3288) if you change or deactivate your mobile telephone number. You also agree to indemnify SafeAuto in full for all claims, expenses, and damages, related to or caused (in whole or in part) by your failure to promptly notify SafeAuto of a change in your mobile telephone number. In particular, you agree to indemnify SafeAuto in full for all claims, expenses, and damages related to or arising under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

SafeAuto may revise, modify, or amend these SMS Terms & Conditions at any time. Any revision, modification, or amendment will take effect when posted to the Company’s website. Your continued consent to receive test messages from SafeAuto will indicate your acceptance of any changes to the SMS Terms & Conditions. You agree to review these SMS Terms and Conditions on a periodic basis to ensure that you are aware of any changes.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SAFEAUTO WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INJURY, LOSS, CLAIM, OR DAMAGE (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES), WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY OR OTHERWISE, WHICH ARISES OUT OF (1) PERFORMANCE FAILURE; (2) USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, SAFEAUTO’S TEXT MESSAGING PROGRAM OR THE CONTENT FOUND ON SAFEAUTO’S TEXT MESSAGING PROGRAM; (3) USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, ANY WEBSITE TO WHICH YOU HYPERLINK FROM SAFEAUTO’S TEXT MESSAGING PROGRAM; (4) ERROR; (5) MISTAKE OR OMISSION; (6) INTERRUPTION OF SERVICE; (7) DEFECT; (8) DELAY IN OPERATION OR TRANSMISSION OF INFORMATION TO OR FROM YOU; (9) INTERRUPTIONS IN CELLULAR NETWORK CONNECTIONS TO SAFEAUTO’S TEXT MESSAGING PROGRAM; (10) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR DATA. SAFEAUTO IS NOT LIABLE EVEN IF SAFEAUTO HAS BEEN NEGLIGENT AND/OR IF SAFEAUTO’S AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. However, in certain states where the law may not allow SafeAuto to limit or exclude liability, the above limitation may not apply and you may have the right to recover these types of damages.
THE CONTENT AND MATERIAL ON SAFEAUTO’S TEXT MESSAGES ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, (1) IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY; (2) IMPLIED WARRANTY THAT THE MATERIAL IS OF ANY PARTICULAR LEVEL OF QUALITY OR IS FIT FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE; (3) WARRANTY OF NON-INFRINGEMENT; (4) WARRANTY THAT THE FUNCTIONAL ELEMENTS CONTAINED IN THE MATERIALS WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE; AND (5) WARRANTY THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED. Some states do not allow the disclaimer of implied warranties, so the foregoing disclaimer may not apply to you. You may also have other legal rights that vary from state to state.

These terms and conditions and the agreement they create, shall be governed by and interpreted according to the laws of the State of Ohio, without giving effect to Ohio's conflict of laws principles. Any dispute concerning this site shall be subject to the exclusive venue of a court of competent jurisdiction in Franklin County, Ohio.
